I'm a life-long Virginian, having grown up in Christiansburg and have lived in Roanoke for ten years. I graduated from James Madison University and Radford University and have been a social studies teacher, mostly United States History, for 18 years. Learning history and politics is a journey rather than a destination and I still get a charge out of the constant revelations that rise above the "fable agreed upon" that fills most textbooks. Baseball is also a passion. I'm a lifelong fan of the game and it is still the National Pastime in my mind. From playing simulation games to collecting memorabilia to going to games, I'm there!
