Now consider how, in USA v. Juan Vincent Castrillon (2nd Circuit Homepage / Decisions / Sotomayor Dissent), Judge Sonia Sotomayor stated:

I disagree, however, with the majority's conclusion that there was sufficent evidence for a rational juror to conculde, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Huezo had the requisite knowledge and specific intent to launder the the proceeds of specified unlawful activity so as to support his conviction for money laundering or conspiracy."

Yet the facts of the case are:

Huezo drove a fellow conspirator and a suitcase containing $500,000 to a meeting with an undercover cop.

On a latter occasion, surveillance disclosed that Huezo started his Jeep then left it running while positioning himself so he could see both the front of the house and the street, whereupon another conspirator emerged with a suitcase containing another $500,000 which he placed in the back of the Jeep for a second delivery.

Huezo had $6,000 cash in his possession.

Why is it that everything Barry touches, turns to horse neers? I thought he was supposed to fix everything.

I am seeing a TON of buyers remorse out here. People were excited to elect the FIRST black President! Well, we succeeded (at least 50%). Now what?

Do you like him running the banks?

Do you like him running the auto industry?

Do you like 10% unemployment? (his "stimulus" was supposed to keep it far below 9%)

Do you like the idea of him running YOUR health care?

How about him taxing your tail off after saying that he wouldn't raise ANY taxes for the middle class?

How do you like the fact that he refuses to get involved with the sovereignty of nations like Iran and Honduras, but tells our ally, Israel what to do?

Is the fact that he went to a RACIST church for 20 years shedding any light on his sentiments regarding a race-baiting professor?

Dont buy this crap folks...a very large majority of the country is happy with their health care. Sure, cost NEEDS to go down, but handing your health records and care over to the DMV ISN'T the answer.

North Korea is threatening us with nuclear weapons (potentially).

Pakistan is under siege by Islamic radicals who want to wipe us off the map with THEIR nuclear weapons.

The economy is a quagmire (to use a favorite liberal term)

Unemployment is NOW said to be topping 10% very soon...higher than the levels the President said that it could reach if we DIDN'T throw Billions of $$$ at all of his political friends and criminals (ACORN, The unions,etc) .

The climate is fine...many areas are having colder than normal summers this year. Yet, 0bama and the usefull idiots in Washington want to impose a devastating TAX on everything energy-related this Friday. This will cause EVERYTHING to cost more. Bread, Milk, Gas, Heat, Corn, etc.

Didn't he tell all of us peasants that we would NOT be getting TAXED any higher???

The people of Iran are doing what our country has been asking them to do for nearly 30 years..."stand up for themselves and WE wil BACK you up". 0bama has turned his back on them. France and Germany have assumed leadership roles over us.

70+% of us are happy with our health care providers...which is a very high number...yet 0bama wants us to scrap that and "sacrifice" for people who came here illegally, so that we too can share in the misery that is Socialized Medicine, where the GOVERNMENT decides what procedures YOU need to have done and IF they/YOU are necessary...rationed health care is what we will have folks.

We have 3 1/2 more years of this folks. If you are student of history or politics, you know that these are HUGE events/debacles, each and every one. In the short time in office, our "President" has done nearly everything possible to make our country un-recognizable to the men and women who made it the greatest country on the planet.

Do you want to be more like Venezuela? How about Cuba? Canada?

It's giving me time to appreciate the boom economies we have always experienced, and will soon experience again. Our economy is a cycle, just like our seasons. Sure we have some winters that are longer and harsher than others, but that is just more the reason we should enjoy our springs and summers more.

I'm 57, and I never lived through the depression as my parents did. Their generation would not have had the problems that we are currently having. We can not blame these set backs on the president or congress any more than we can blame the weather on the forecasters. We, as a society have generated these problems with our greed; expecting unreasonable rates of return on investments, expecting to purchase $250,000 homes, for $600/month mortgage payments, not building up our log piles during the winter, for when we have bad winters. It's time we look internally to correct these problems. If the worse thing that comes out of this downturn is tighter credit, then I think it will be a lesson we all needed to learn.

Forget all of this. This is run-of-the-mill budget trickery. True, Obama's tricks come festooned with strings of zeros tacked onto the end. But that's a matter of scale, not principle.

All presidents do that. But few undertake the kind of brazen deception at the heart of Obama's radically transformative economic plan, a rhetorical sleight of hand so smoothly offered that few noticed.
